Your Board, along with a lot of other volunteers, has accomplished quite a bit in the last several months in the form of upgrades, repairs and improvements related to the common areas of our community.  Whether it’s the new pool house roof and gutters, fresh paint, or updated landscaping, Sugarwood volunteers have made differences that benefit us all. In addition, upcoming upgrades and repairs to the pool and its decking in 2010 will further enhance the usability of the recreation area.  I invite you all to check out our recreation area and to help us better manage this valuable asset.

Continuing efforts to provide better communications regarding SHA matters continue taking shape as well.  The increased frequency of newsletters and bulletins, as well as the punctual approval of Board meeting minutes, help in this regard.  The vital help of our block captains and the upcoming 2010-2011 Directory will all help provide additional means of sharing information.  In addition, efforts to improve our website continue as this serves as a valuable communications tool.  Let us hear how you like it!

Finally, maintaining the financial viability of SHA is one of your Board’s chief roles.  Efforts to stabilize revenues and to closely manage costs have afforded the opportunity to reduce 2010 fees while working towards implementing the major projects approved at our Annual Meeting.

Thanks to all of you for contributing to SHA’s success!
